Hi there Blogger, I'm here to share information/experience to you about an agency here in Philippines called the "Global Summit - Consultancy Services". I have searched the internet, but unfortunately, they're not that famous on the web "yet".
So what is Global Summit and what to they do? They're are one of the so called "Consultants" for VISA application here in the Philippines and they offer their "help" to people who want to go to other countries such as London. They have two offices, (As far as I know) one in Manila (Makati near the British embassy) and another in Cebu (Besides High Precision in Fuente OsmeƱa). So I guess that covers much of the "What is Global Summit" part, and now let's go to the "What they do". What they do is really simple, They give information about how to get/apply for a VISA and in return they asked money from the applicant. Another question arrises... How much money do they ask for? As I've known, Around 53,000 Philippines Pesos (Do a google search on currency converter). Now is that too much for their consultancy services? At first, it seems like it's worth it. All the sweet talk and encouragement on how easy it is to get a VISA for London when they got the applicants back. But in the end its really up to the embassy to decide.
These people are very good at convicing people to go London and other countries but the way they get costumers/clients is not, or should I say is beyond immorality. They give people false hopes and teach them how to break the law in other in countries and how to not get caught. Which in reality is happening but, still it is not right. Anyway how can they convience people if they tell the truth.
How do they do it? First they spread the word in newspapers, banners, and any other adds. The add usually contains information about a seminar. Schedule and venue are included. Then you are asked to send an sms to a number for reservation to the said seminar to make it sound more exclusive. But after arriving in the seminar, you will see a lot of "walk-in" coming in who just happens to be walking around and saw the add out the venue. Everything in the add requirements such as resume, ID, etc. are not really required. (Walk-in don't have them but still they're are allowed).
OK! these is getting to long and I still haven't gone to my point.
In the seminar, There are times that a foreigner will be present and talk their country. After the foriegner, Back to a Global Summit representative and he/she will talk about getting a VISA the "fast way". They will suggest people to apply for a student visa which is legal. And they tell people how other filipinos get to go London as a student and get work there and finally shift to a working permit once already there. The plan sounds simple enough huh? Students in London are allowed to work 20hours a week so thats less than 3hrs a day right? I don't think one can earn enough money from that. So they brag about filipinos working 2-4 different employers a day to and earn tons of money from it. But thats ILLEGAL! One requirement of the embassy to ensure one will not be a burden to their country once in London is a sponsor who will be responsible for the applicants financial needs. You don't have one? They will teach you to talk to friend, relative etc that how enough money in the bank to sign a sponsorship for you but in reality they won't sponsor your studies. What if you can't find one? Global summit have these people/employees who can sign for you. For free? hell no! I don't know the exact fee for these document but I heard its around thousands. They will asked money for a letter of acceptance from the school which is also a requirement from the embassy. They will tell you that this letter of acceptance is will boost your chance for an approval. But take note, this letter of acceptance is letter stating that a college/institute is willing to accept you as a student in thier facility. This letter you can get from other school besides the ones offered by Global Summit. They will emphasize that because of them gettting this letter of acceptance will be easy but thats not true. You can get a letter of acceptance from any school who offers/accept foriegn students. Heres link to ASIC a accrediting body for international schools. William Shakespeare College has been recently accredited by them as of January 22, 2009. But it doesn't mean that only WSC (William Shakespeare College is the best choice) There are lots of school/colleges in London that offers good quality education. But who wants to go to London and study? No one I guess remember that Global Summit only uses the term "Study" to get a VISA and work in London. That again my friend is ILLEGAL!. Illegal meaning once caught the person/people will be deported back to its country of origin and will be blacklisted. (It means that your passport will have a mark that says BLACKLISTED, and it will be harder, If even still possible for you to go to another country that requires a VISA) So think about it first!.
Bottom line is, you don't need Global Summit to get a student visa to London or any other country. If you want to use the student visa glitch to get and stay in another country and get to work there. It's up to you! It's not legal but a lot of people are doing it. Here is a link to VFS UK Border agency which contain so much information on how to apply for a VISA. Minus the Global Summit fee which is 53,000 Pesos. Hey! I'm saving you from spending this much money on something anyone can do. I was a victim and with this blog I can help/prevent others from making the same mistakes I did. All the information you need is on the internet. All you need to do is read them. Too bad for me I did the research after I already paid the "NON-REFUNDABLE" useless consultancy services of Global Summit and there was nothing iI can do but follow there instructions which are the same instruction found on the website I've given earlier. Don't be carried away by the One time payment and we will assist until you get to London. Because they can't help you. Once denied by the embassy, there nothing else you can do but re-apply. By the way, the payment(s) will be in 4 parts. 53,000 Pesos divided 3 and the "initial payment" for the school. Once the 2 parts of the 53,000 Pesos and initial payment is made, everything will be in slow motion. Take it from me. These guys are very good talkers and they can convience anyone. They will give you these hints (which is also available on the internet) Thats why they don't do adds on the internet because when people found them on the internet means that the person is internet savvy and probably knows that they only got thier information from the official british embassy website.
So I guess that wraps it up! The following are some FAQs and Usefull links.
If you need assistance/information about the topic just email them to me and i'll be more the glad to help you.
